The waivers under the Office of Developmental Programs include:

  • Consolidated waiver
  • PFDS waiver
  • Base funding

Services under these waivers include but are not limited to:

Home & Community Habilitation -This is a direct service (face-to-face) provided in home and community settings to assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining, and improving self-help, domestic, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings.

Public Transportation – Public transportation for individuals enabling access to services/resources in accordance with their ISPs to promote self-determination in a cost-effective manner.

Supported Employment Services – This consist of job finding services and job support services which involves skills development, outreach to potential employers, and follow up to support continued employment in the community.

Companion Services – These Services are provided to individuals living in private residences for the limited purposes of providing supervision and necessary care and minimal assistance that is focused solely on the health and safety of the adult individual (18 years of age and older) with intellectual disabilities. These services are mainly provided in our Individuals home and also in the community.

Homemaker/Chore Services – Indirect services including household cleaning/maintenance and homemaker activities such as meal preparation, laundry or services to keep the home clean and in a safe condition.

Licensed Residential Habilitation Services -These services available only under the Consolidated waiver, are direct (face-to-face) and indirect services provided in Casmir owned, rented, leased, or operated licensed residential habilitation settings . Licensed Residential Habilitation Services are only available through the Consolidated Waiver and base funds. These services are provided to protect the health and welfare of the individuals by assisting them in acquiring, retaining, and improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings.

Supplemental Habilitation – Service used to temporarily supplement licensed residential habilitation service to meet short term unique behavioral or medical needs of an individual.

Additional Individualized Staffing – Service used to supplement licensed residential habilitation service to meet an individual’s long-term behavioral or medical need as well as other life-changing needs that requires additional individualized staffing.

Both supplemental habilitation and additional individualized staffing services are provided in Casmir owned/leased licensed residential homes.

Respite Services -These are direct services that are provided to supervise and support individuals on a short-term basis due to the absence or need for relief of those persons normally providing care to the individual. They include Licensed Out-of-home and In-home Respite. These services can be provided in Casmir owned/leased licensed homes or in the individual’s home, where they live with family or guardian.

Behavior Supports – This is a service that includes functional assessment; the development of strategies to support the individual based upon assessment; and the provision of training to individuals, staff, parents and caretakers. Services must be required to meet the current needs of the individual, as documented and authorized in the ISP (Individual Supports Plan).
