On March 7, 2014, The Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHids) hosted the 22nd Annual My City, My Place Brighter Future Awards & Wellness Expo. The event honored individuals who make a difference in the lives of others and create impact in their community. In attendance were hundreds of guests at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel. The event showcased individuals utilizing intellectual disability supports and their support team which includes friends and neighbors, providers, businesses, or organizations. 3 individuals supported by Casmir Care services, Isaiah, Charles, Michael and 2 staff members, Fredrick Tynes and Karen Atkinson, received honorable recognition for extraordinary support of people leading everyday lives in the community.
